    0. Lyrics to song

    Takamine acoustic with Vox crunch.
Chet Atkins Gretsch with Vox chorus2.
Chet Atkins Gretsch with Slash bass fuzz and Vox crunch.
    Meinl tambourine.

    1):
The truth's as plain as day,
    There's nothing in the way,
    Nothing to block the view.
It's there for all to see.
    In its simplicity,
    It's something logic can't construe.
    Deceptions are failing,
The veil is long since rent,
    The old truths are ailing,
    Their power is vastly spent.
    As the tale unravels,
    Perplexity creases your brow,
    Indubitable disclosures,
    Finally ease you down.

    2):
No room for give and take,
    Something has got to break,
To let things come to light.
    In your complacency,
    Your masked complicity,
The truth must take to flight.
    Security is self-deception,
    Anxiety circles your soul,
    A master-minded cover-up,
To make it seem you're whole.
    All are in connivance,
There seems so much to lose.
    Rather live the contrivance,
    Than unmask the clever ruse.

    3):
    Was it feigned innocence,
    Misguided self-defence,
To keep the truth at bay?
    We tied our anchor fast,
    On what seemed to last,
    Held on tight,
    Come what may.
    The planets in their motions,
    Conspired to obey three laws,
    Until one broke the contract.
    By inventing an opening clause.
    All are in collusion,
    To pretend we're in control,
    Collective delusion,
    To barricade the gaping hole.
