This is a site of independent philosophical thinking, free from institutional strictures.
It is also Heidegger territory — but not Heidegger for the sake of Heidegger.
His thinking is here the gateway to a critical engagement with the entire Western tradition of thinking: Plato & Aristotle, Descartes & Leibniz, Hegel & Marx, among others.
The focus is not on an exposition of Heidegger, but on taking his hermeneutic phenomenology further into areas of phenomena he never engaged with.
Not the quiet front of the scholarship, but the jagged, cutting, bleeding, leading edge of thinking itself.
Doing hermeneutic phenomenology means learning to see in an age in which positivist and empiricist ways of thinking apparently reign supreme.
Resuscitating the ontological difference demands deconstructing mainstream philosophy in its complicity with modern science.
Issues include:
The dogma of interior subjective consciousness vis-à-vis an external objective world
The absolute will to power over all kinds of movement
Alternative ontologies of movement to that of efficient causality
The mutual estimation among whos in power interplays
The ontology of social and political power
One-dimensional time vs. three-dimensional, existential time
The algorithmization of the world and our entanglement in the cyberworld
The metaphysical fixation on whatness to the neglect of whoness
The fateful interweaving of the technological set-up with the relentless valorization of thingified value beneath the gainful game
Radical consequences of thinking through the temporal meaning of being itself: temporalogy
